NEW ORLEANS — Scoring 13 points in the final 18 seconds of the first half was enough for Notre Dame to beat Riverside Academy 13-3 Friday night for the Division III state championship.

Trailing 3-0 after a Tyler Gauthier 41-yard field goal, Notre Dame (14-0) wide receiver Adam Berken connected with Boedy Borill, another wide receiver, for a 55-yard reception to move the ball to the Riverside 5-yard line.

After a Riverside penalty, quarterback Joe Faulk found tight end Ethan Smith for a 3-yard touchdown.
