ALEXANDRIA (AP) — An Elmer woman and an Arizona man face hundreds of charges in a Rapides Parish child-pornography investigation.

The Town Talk reports (http://townta.lk/17DTAJ2) the investigation started after a complaint was filed with deputies in Tioga.

Authorities say Dorothy Jean Vanasselberg, 31, of Elmer in July. She was booked with charges including aggravated incest, aggravated sexual battery, pornography with juveniles and indecent behavior with a juvenile.

A former resident of Phoenix is believed to have received child pornography from Vanasselberg.

Kyle Smith Hauenstein, 38, is being held in Rapides Parish on 353 counts of pornography with a juvenile plus multiple counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile, sexual battery and aggravated incest. Hauenstein was extradited to Rapides Parish after he was arrested on a fugitive warrant in Oregon. He was booked in Alexandria on Aug. 31

Bond for each was more than $2 million. No information was available Wednesday on their attorneys or court dates.

Rapides Sheriff William Earl Hilton says it is one of the biggest child pornography cases in the parish’s history.

“I’ve been doing this many, many years, and I’ve never seen anybody with this many charges against them,” Hilton said.

Hauenstein’s wife, Christel Boling Rice Hauenstein, 38, also was arrested in connection with this case. She was charged with two counts of accessory after the fact and two counts of criminal obstruction of justice. Detectives alleged she had knowledge of the incidents between Hauenstein and the victim or victims.

Authorities expect more charges against Vanasselberg and Kyle Hauenstein as the investigation continues.
