LAKE CHARLES (AP) — Roy Geesey has been named funeral director of the year by the Louisiana Funeral Directors Association.

Geesey is a third-generation funeral director and former owner of Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home locations in Crowley and Iota.

He currently is a financial adviser Cullen Investment Group Ltd. of Lafayette.

The award was presented at the group’s recent convention in Lake Charles.
