The arraignment for an Orange, Texas, man accused of multiple sex crimes against juveniles was moved to May.

Michael Shane Crumpler, 35, was arrested in April 2010 after Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office investigators found he had allegedly touched two girls inappropriately between February 2004 and September 2008. The girls were 5 and 6 years old when the offenses reportedly occurred, said sheriff’s office spokeswoman Kim Myers.

Crumpler was subsequently charged with two counts of aggravated rape and four counts of sexual battery, and he was released on a $200,000 bond.

On March 9, a Calcasieu Parish grand jury indicted him on an additional 13 counts of sexual battery, 13 counts of aggravated rape and two counts of molestation of a juvenile.

Investigators said the additional charges stem from alleged offenses committed against the same victims.

Crumpler’s arraignment was reset for May 21, and he remains in jail on a $1.07 million bond.””
