Four Louisiana students chosen as White House interns

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Four Louisiana students have been selected as Spring 2012 interns at the White House.
They are: Evan Casper-Futterman, of New York, N.Y., who attends the School of Urban Planning and Regional Studies at the University of New Orleans; Nicholas Giles, a Southern University Law Center student from Houston; Kevin Hagan, of New Orleans, who attends, Dillard University; and Paige Nichols, of Baltimore, who attends LSU.
Interns will work in one of several White House departments, including the Office of the First Lady, the Office of Chief of Staff and the National Economic Council.

The application for the Fall 2012 program is available at www.whitehouse.gov/internships . The deadline to apply is April 1.
Louisiana Democratic Party Chairman Buddy Leach congratulated the students Tuesday and the state schools for “preparing our future leaders.”
