Authorities are looking for suspects in connection with a burglary and theft at the Bolton Ford dealership, 1500 East College St. in Lake Charles.

The suspects allegedly stole the rims and tires from 19 trucks displayed on the dealership’s east lot, Lake Charles Police Sgt. Sean Caldwell said in a news release.

The burglaries most likely occurred overnight between Sunday and Monday, Caldwell said. He said a detective and officers from the evidence and identification division processed the scene for potential evidence that could lead to finding the suspects.

“Detectives have identified similar cases that occurred in northern Louisiana and Texas where dealerships were targeted for their rims and tires,” Caldwell said. He said detectives have been working with the agencies investigating those incidents.

Anyone with information on the thefts can contact the Lake Charles Police Department Detective Division at 491-1311.

Detective Tim Pruitt is handling the investigation.
