SHREVEPORT (AP) — A 58-year-old man was killed when he was struck by a large truck at a scrap metal yard near downtown Shreveport.

The name of the victim had not been released Wednesday morning.

The accident happened about 2:25 p.m. Tuesday.

Police tell KTBS TV the man, who was on a bicycle, was in front of the truck on the right side of the cab. The driver got in the truck and started moving, striking the man.

Police say no charges were filed against the truck driver.
